It was a totally quiet evening. Not a sound except for Kerry's CPAP machine cranking away. I lay in bed wondering if the forecast was still the same. Finally I had to grab the phone and check. Some small changes, but the forecast was essentially the same. Tomorrow is still a good travel day, west winds instead of SW, 5-10 in the morning and diminishing. SE 5-10 today with rain, fog and a possible boomer. No rain is in the forecast here.
The winds were totally quiet early this morning. Fog did roll in about 8:00 AM. It's kind of neat to see and experience fog when you are safe in a harbor of course. By 9:30 it was mostly gone from the harbor.
I could see spider webs in the windows outside. I took a mop and attached them. But there were so many bugs I decided I had to hose them off. Once that was done, I needed to dry the windows off. Then since I had the hose out I filled the water tanks. Once I was done and inside, I hear Kerry say, "Well, I think I will get up now." I complimented her on her timing. But, she is still in bed. I had the most spider webs of the trip on Annie this morning. This place must be infested. I'll put bug spray on the lines to the dock today.

I called Harbor Beach, tomorrow's destination, while Kerry was doing laundry. The laundry facilities and machines are first class here, and prices are very good. Lisa, the Harbormaster, said to come in the North entrance to avoid most of the weeds. I'm glad I asked about them as the GLCC recommends coming in the main lighthouse entrance. We met Lisa when we came through in 2022. She is very pleasant.
We took marina bikes for our trip downtown. I got a 2 wheel and Kerry got a three wheeler. She immediately almost crashed it and decided she would walk instead of bike. I knew we were going too far for that, so, I went back to Annie and got my bike for her. Then we were finally ready.
The first stop was at Precious Paws where Kerry bought a book. Then we stopped at a resale shop sale, then at a convenience store. We went to Family Dollar which was now closed, but the Tru Value hardware store across from there had a rubber fly swatter I wanted (we can never seem to find the one we do have). Kerry loves containers and found a couple she had to have. I had hoped to fine wine on this trip, but apparently the BP station just out of town is the only place to buy it. We did not want to ride that far.
When we arrived back at Annie, I thought she had grown several feet. Docked across from us was Annie's big sister - a tug with the same coloration as Annie. Amazing! Turns out that this is the 37' tug from Algonac. They were not particularly friendly in Algonac when we stopped to see them, and they are the same here. Disappointing. They are headed to Harbor Beach tomorrow also. I don't expect a joint happy hour there.
We enjoyed leftover pizza for lunch on the top deck. I cooked hamburgers inside for dinner. Kerry made her delicious coleslaw again. We watched Netflix after dinner, starting a new series, Untamed. We watched two of six episodes. I'm sure we'll watch at least two today.
We plan to leave early tomorrow, not 6:00-ish, but maybe 7:30-ish. The trip is 56 miles, about 7 hours. Crossing Saginaw Bay is the only issue. Not sure how strong the west wind will be when we hit it as the winds are forecast to be up and down throughout the morning. This trip is always the easiest navigation of the year. I set the auto helm and wake up in Harbor Beach.
