It's going to be about 15 degrees cooler today than yesterday, but no rain is expected. The forecast winds for tomorrow and now higher than they were. I would say they are at about the max for us to travel. The trip to Tobermory is long, and we will be in the open waters of Lake Huron, so big waves can build. Fortunately a favorable south wind is forecast. I'll be interested in Peter's take. We had a small hatch of mayflies last night.

Peter stopped over for cappuccino and donuts. His assessment was similar to mine, in that, while not ideal, it looks like we could travel tomorrow. Also, Canada Day is Tuesday, so we think it could be better to get there on Sunday. We agreed late day observations will be needed to confirm it's a travel day. We paid for one more night's (tonight's) dockage.

We took off on our bikes to hit the hardware and grocery stores, and Jean's restaurant for Peter's breakfast. It was pretty cool so I went back for a heavier sweatshirt. All the stores we wanted to visit are in the same area. So while Peter had breakfast, I hit the grocery for fresh vegetables and a Micro Age Office Supply store where I was able to get tracing paper for Kerry.

Next we were off to the very nice Home Hardware store. I was able to get a plastic plug that could be used to hopefully stop my tiny water leak. Peter got a heavy metal "bonker" for any fish we may catch, and some vinyl corner pieces he hopes to use to make a water diversion on an area over his door that drips water on it, or in it if it's open. He had to engineer a way to carry his treasures back to Voyager.

Regular blog readers know I am always talking about how expensive things are in Canada. Check out the price on this 10 cup ceramic teapot. Mercy!

We passed another lazy afternoon keeping busy with lots of little activities. At 5:00 we met the Orros to go to the Erie Belle restaurant for fish and chips. We bought a three piece cod dinner so we would have an extra piece for lunch tomorrow afternoon. Dinner was very good. We sat outside and dined in perfect weather conditions.

At dinner we reviewed the weather forecasts and all agreed that the picture had improved from this morning and it would definitely be a travel day tomorrow. 5:30 was set as the departure time, first light. They don't take reservations in Tobermory, but Marianna will call the marina first thing to make them aware of our arrival.

We agreed to meet at 7:45 tonight to go to town and watch the pipers march by. The pipers start promptly at 8:00. they march down Queen Street and return after a short break. The streets are lined with people, and many follow along after the pipers. Here is a video I took 5 years ago.

We stopped on the way back to the boats to pose for a couple of photos.

Annie is ready for the big Tobermory voyage tomorrow!
